JUL
Fellowship, Faith, and Fruitfulness – July at Sitio Shalom
July was a month full of fellowship, spiritual growth, and meaningful connections here at Sitio Shalom.
We began the month by hosting a local pastor and his wife for lunch on July 3rd—a simple but cherished time of encouragement and shared burdens. The very next day, we had the joy of celebrating the Fourth of July with a group of American missionaries in Porto Alegre. It was a refreshing time of community and cultural connection, and we left with several new friendships we hope will continue to grow.
Throughout the month, much time was spent preparing spiritually. We studied and prayed through a sermon on the sobering topic of Hell, as well as our ongoing weekly Bible study lessons. These moments in the Word are vital to the ministry and to our own hearts.
Mid-month, we had the privilege of opening our home to a former pastor’s wife who is walking through a difficult season. She stayed with us for seven days, and we trust the Lord used that time to bring comfort and healing.
On July 19th, we traveled to Santa Fe Baptist Church to attend a farewell celebration for Pastor Gabriel and his wife Ledi. While there, we were introduced to the President of the Rio Grande do Sul Pastors Association—another encouraging connection.
Then on July 20th, the sermon on Hell was delivered, and we rejoice to report that six people made decisions for Christ. Eternity was impacted that day, and we give all glory to God.
We closed out the month by hosting an IMB missionary family in our home, continuing our vision to be a place of rest and restoration for those serving on the front lines.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Sitio Shalom remains a small place with a big heart, and we are honored to see how God continues to use it for His glory.
With love and gratitude,
Jim & Guta
