Spring is in the air. The flowers are in full bloom and the pollen is everywhere. The Spring rains are causing the grass to grow quickly.
We are trying to finish a few of the construction projects that were started this winter, as we begin our busy season.
We hosted Pastor Julio and Sandra for three days. They told us that they would have come sooner, but when they first heard about our ministry they thought “It is too good to be true”. Before they left our home they asked, “How often can we come here?” And they said that they were going to tell all the other pastors about our ministry.
The area in which we live is the “Texas” of Brazil. They even celebrate Dia do Gaucho (Day of the Cowboy). It is even a state holiday. There are parades and everybody dresses up in their authentic cowboy or cowgirl outfit. We recently purchased our outfits and surprised everyone at church.
This month Sítio Shalom had a “Tea Party” for pastors' wives. Guta gave an incredible Bible lesson in Jeremiah 1:4–11; it was an amazing time of fellowship and encouragement. The ladies also honored a missionary who has been serving in this area for thirteen years and is being transferred to another state. Our Brazilian staff worked together for this project and the results were above expectations—praise the Lord!
